Me, Vitto and Dhika are lucky enough to be able to catch Vans Warped Tour while we were in San Francisco on the 28th of June 2009. It was held in Pier 30/32, and I had to admit I've never felt that excited about a concert. Added to the fact, that the whole place was filled with hot guys and girls. Like, wow :O
Bands we watched:
* Escape The Fate: We were late, but lucky us, ETF was setting up the stage when we arrived. Monte Money was extremely hot, like seriously. Craig Mabbitt's vocals weren't that good though, he didn't reach most of the high notes. And I had to admit, the live was pretty dissapointing although it was still so exciting.
* Jeffree Star: Jeffree's opening with his own version of Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow" was awesome!
* Millionaires: We were part of the front row :D All three girls was extremely awesome. Their live act and sychronized dance moves were so cool. Dani (Y) And the finale with Alcohol and Jeffree Star's posse was real great!
* Outernational: A New York based band, which we saw accidentally while waiting for the Millionaires. They were all very talented, and their live act was awesome. Musically speaking, they have such great skills. I suggest everyone to check them out on www.myspace.com/outernational
* Breathe Carolina: We watched from a distance, since we were in line buying drinks and food. But they were real great, they played live real well.
* Hit The Lights: LOVE THEM! I don't know what more to say, they were just so cool. I love you, Omar and Nick
* A Day To Remember: This was one of the bands I was so anticipated of for the Vans Warped Tour. And it was worthed. They played real well, and I must admit the crowd was awesome. In fact, I tend to make a few new friends caused by moshing and bumping to each other. (FYI: I love Americans, they're all so pretty and nice) But too bad, they didn't play a few songs I wanted. On the other hand, playing "The Plot to Bomb Panhandle" gives them an extra four-thumbs-up
* 30H!3: Extremely interactive and fun on stage. But too bad, I was so far away. So I couldn't see that well. But the band was real good.
* Underoath: (Y) (Y) (Y) GREAT
* Senses Fail: Last band I watched. They gave us lessons on what punk rock really is, and that hyped the crowd up. They played old hits, like "Can't Be Saved" and "Buried A Lie". They played so well live, just like the records. Good Job :D
What's so great too is that VWT gives us opportunities to meet the stars. And I did! I actually talked a lot with Nick and Omar from Hit The Lights (which made me love them even more). Allison from The Millionaires was really nice, she smiled a lot. Last but not least, John from The Maine. We were taking our pictures and I was going to hug him when he said, "Damn, I got goose shit on my shirt. I'm so sorry." And the shit, really did got smeared on my watch. And he said, "Guess what. You don't have to touch me, I'll hug you"
I got sunburned, and my low blood pressure killed me after VWT. But it was all soooo worthed :)
